About

Solihull Artists Forum (SAF) is a lively group of artists with a diverse range of skills and interests in the arts. We welcome artists working in all mediums, including contemporary craft, illustration and photography.

Initially set up in 2002 to help Solihull MBC create its Arts strategy, SAF provides a support network and creative development opportunities for artists and craftspeople who earn all or some of their income within the creative industry.

Our members are supported through regular meetings in The Core, adjacent to the Touchwood Court shopping and entertainment centre. Meetings commence at 6.30pm. We provide a programme of activities, such as opportunities for members to talk about their work, sketching events, speakers, demonstrations, visits, etc. Since its beginning, SAF has also held numerous exhibitions and artists fairs in The Core gallery and other venues. Our website provides our members with meeting information and some on-line exposure.

SAF is run by a volunteer committee, while all members are welcome to help out in various ways e.g. in putting together an exhibition, art fair or by holding an open studio. If you are interested in membership please email Iwona Carins at ivona.carins@gmail.com. We welcome visitors to come and experience a meeting or two before joining. If you require any other information please contact SAF at solihullartistsforum@yahoo.com.
